Great, will look for them. I like seeing peoples restorations. Do you have a link to your ongoing restoration? Mustang67ford 234 #5 Posted March 3, 2022 Still trying to figure out where the pto arm spring under the dash hooks and where the fusues mount because my relay is on the side where the fuses go unless my relay is in the wrong location. Right now, fuses are hooked to tge battery tray which I know is not correct.

midpack 925 #7 Posted March 3, 2022 My 312 has a relay like that, I'll see where the fuses are mounted later if nobody else answers before that
Handy Don 12,726 #8 Posted March 3, 2022 Check your wiring diagram but I suspect that relay is used with the safety switches. It allows the starter solenoid to work once the clutch/shift/PTO(?) switches are in their proper positions for safe starting.
peter lena 8,896 #9 Posted March 3, 2022 @Mustang67ford that pto lever has a Kotter pin , mounted at the battery tray front end area, for a spring pull against the arm . pull off the front of the dash , and look in there , you will see the set up , another thing you could do while there ( only if you want to ) would be to add washers and lubricant to the sloppy start point next to battery , I ad 3/8 to 7/16 of washers , makes a solid smooth lever . that fuse tray mount is easily remounted to another bolt/ screw. also a great time to add to your electrical grounding ( only if you want to ) . add battery cable to the battery ground bolt next to battery , attach that to clutch pedal area , engine /frame bolt . from there ( only if you want to ) attach ,added ground wire to ignition rectifier, on engine tin , and from there to headlight grounding , ( only if you want to ) . only a suggestion while you are in the area , sorry to have dared to take you off course , pete
