rpilote 20 #1 Posted February 21, 2022 Hi folks, I know I have done this before, but age is getting me. I removed the bolt for the PTO. There is a rather large threaded area that I can install a very large bolt which I have. I am not sure what the correct procedure is. Do I thread the large bolt in and continue turning till the pulley assembly comes off? Thanks for helping an old geezer..Rich
oldlineman 1,481 #2 Posted February 21, 2022 I believe that is correct but will defer to others that know for sure. Bob
pfrederi 17,685 #3 Posted February 21, 2022 That is the correct procedure.. Threads could be 5/8 7/8 or 1" NC
daveoman1966 3,745 #4 Posted February 21, 2022 This is the procedure for the Electric PTO. The GT-14 PTO requires a bigger bolt...3/4 or 1" dia, but the process is the same. NEVER...EVER...use a 3-jaw or other similar puller on these.

If you're calling yourself an old geezer Rich, I applaud you for still getting out there and tinkering on your machine to fix it! And your instincts are clearly still good as that was the way to do it.
