Lane Ranger 11,039 #1 Posted February 20, 2022 ### Squonk (Mike Chasse) told me a neat trick for making old tires pliable and ready for mounting on steel wheels. Use DL hand cream (creamy no pumice). I bought a very early new old stock Goodyear set for one of my RJs. This stuff really soaks in the rubber. 7 3
squonk 41,693 #2 Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) Squeaky clean! ( And if you make the mistake of putting Vaseline in your hair for "Greaser Day" it will get that out too!) Coat the tire and rim when mounting them too. Edited February 20, 2022 by squonk 4 1 2
