3 point hitch for Hank

Recommended Posts

I have been moving the hitch around from the transmission to the welding table making adjustments and final welding and got curious how much it will weigh once completed so I stacked all the parts on a scale.

Would anyone like to guess the weight of the completed hitch?

Looks pretty much like factory. Do you plan on using the 3 point with the adapter to sleeve hitch?

Thanks. Yes I do. The cultivator and the disc work better with this lift. I am also going to build a sub soiler and a set of forks to fit.

I made a test run with the tandem disc today. Still have to make some pins and finish the trailer hitch.

Man that looks professionally built !

I know there was some geometry and probably some algebra went into that !

Nice!…..

@Horse Newbie Thanks. I just kept the pivot points at equal distance then adjusted length as needed.

Trailer hitch ready. The adapter folds down and held on the bar at the bottom of the hitch. I still need to weld the gussets below the sleeve hitch.KIMG0133.JPG.481bfb7ef91f4a7173edbb1f6e565ac3.JPG

I left the subsoiler on the lift while I was doing some yard work, when I came back the lift had leaked down till the subsoiler was on the floor.  It has leaked down before with the heavy disc on it but not the plow or the cultivator.

I cut out the gussets for the hitch and welded them in.

I finished welding up the subsoiler, gave it a coat of paint and tried it out. The spot I tested it in was very dry and hard but it did very well.

Lowell recommended a cylinder rebuild so I ordered the kit and new hoses since I will have them half way apart anyway.

I rebuilt the hydraulic cylinder and happy to report no more leak down over night. I also replaced the lift lever I had made and modified so it is easier to operate the lift while looking over my right shoulder.

The way I have it set up forward lifts and back lowers the lift

Sorry I just saw your queation.

It is still on the tractor and still in use. Anything specific you want to know just ask.
