JPWH 6,033 #51 Posted April 10, 2022 I have been moving the hitch around from the transmission to the welding table making adjustments and final welding and got curious how much it will weigh once completed so I stacked all the parts on a scale. Would anyone like to guess the weight of the completed hitch?
JPWH 6,033 #53 Posted April 10, 2022 I got some paint on today and mounted to the tractor.

JPWH 6,033 #56 Posted April 23, 2022 I made a test run with the tandem disc today. Still have to make some pins and finish the trailer hitch. 1

sjoemie himself 3,068 #58 Posted April 23, 2022 Looks pretty much like factory. Do you plan on using the 3 point with the adapter to sleeve hitch?

The cultivator and the disc work better with this lift. I am also going to build a sub soiler and a set of forks to fit.

JPWH 6,033 #61 Posted April 24, 2022 @Horse Newbie Thanks. I just kept the pivot points at equal distance then adjusted length as needed.
JPWH 6,033 #62 Posted April 24, 2022 Trailer hitch ready. The adapter folds down and held on the bar at the bottom of the hitch. I still need to weld the gussets below the sleeve hitch. 3
JPWH 6,033 #63 Posted April 25, 2022 My subsoiler came in today. Now I can complete the hitch build.
JPWH 6,033 #64 Posted April 30, 2022 Subsoiler mocked up.
JPWH 6,033 #65 Posted April 30, 2022 I left the subsoiler on the lift while I was doing some yard work, when I came back the lift had leaked down till the subsoiler was on the floor. It has leaked down before with the heavy disc on it but not the plow or the cultivator.
JPWH 6,033 #66 Posted April 30, 2022 I cut out the gussets for the hitch and welded them in. 5
JPWH 6,033 #67 Posted May 1, 2022 I finished welding up the subsoiler, gave it a coat of paint and tried it out. The spot I tested it in was very dry and hard but it did very well. 5

Lowell recommended a cylinder rebuild so I ordered the kit and new hoses since I will have them half way apart anyway.
JPWH 6,033 #69 Posted May 8, 2022 I rebuilt the hydraulic cylinder and happy to report no more leak down over night. I also replaced the lift lever I had made and modified so it is easier to operate the lift while looking over my right shoulder. The way I have it set up forward lifts and back lowers the lift
