Yes, you did!  Can't tell from the photos, what kind of tree is that?

Yes, poor firewood.  Also one of the preferred hosts of the infamous spotted lantern devil, sorry spotted lantern fly.

Jay;           :handgestures-thumbupright:      Glad there wasn't any significant damage (the birds may disagree though).

No big surprise there, the trees and spotted lantern fly both were from China.

Yesterday we had winds up to 85mph, blew the roof on one of our sheds off.

We saw it when it happened. Almost hit our Horses.

Glad it pretty much was a miss Jay!

Similar situation here…strong winds Thursday  night into Friday morning. This tree was 6”-7”

diameter so not very big, but 10’ more in one direction and it would have taken out the hood or windshield in my truck.

Kill every one of them.  The roots of those invaders will continue to sprout and keep coming back, so clear all around the area so you can mow them down, or spray every time they sprout up.

Yup, they shoot from the roots and have seeds. A Forestry guy told me to hack the bark a few places and spray weed killer in it. He said to kill them you have to make em suffer... The big problem is it was the neighbors tree and there are more close to the property line...

We've cut down quite a few of those also in the last 2 years...
