@ebinmaine  love it , old school original set up , with upgrades to make it all work better . Mercedes UNIMOG , always had that  extreme chassis flex , combined with  PORTAL AXELS  AT ALL 4 CORNERS , and  32 SP GEAR BOXES . my first experience with that type of dodge , was a  6x6 version that was still in the shipping crate ! bought as war surplus . working at a tree trimming place as one of my first jobs , spraying down brush , that 6x6 was an extreme rock crawler , no effort at all to crawl over or drive thru anything . had a good teacher , emphasizing , correct gear / range, to  get the job done , also showed me how to use a winch properly .  gearing is your friend , loved driving that thing , pete

Awesome article. When I first started at Fire Dept some 40 odd years ago we had one used as brush truck. We would put a "rookie" in and have him drive through ditch at an angle. Right in middle just go nuts and make them stop with body rotated screaming you broke the frame! The reaction was priceless.  Loved to drive that truck! You could put it in granny low and walk faster than it but that thing would climb a wall. So much power. Pulled many a larger truck out of numerous situations with it.

From the article:

“I was just done,” he said, later adding, “They’re like potato chips. You can’t just have one.”

Does this remind anyone here of anything?

Looks like something that would roll out of @Pullstart's shop...

Mike Festiva built an articulating truck on YouTube.  Looks very similar, but his was more compact.
