Who That would have been my thought too, but the manufacturer probably didn't have a license from the BBC to call it that as that would be a copywrited name and would have cost them a considerable amount to call it that, but by just calling it a police box mug there is no legal recourse from the BBC, and everyone who knows about the show knows what it is anyway.
