Groundhog was Wrong

We rode our bikes over a dozen miles today, saw bald eagles and a blond jogger in shorts.  What more can one ask?

The eagles were too far out and I was too slow for the other critter.

Actually it isn't a rail trail there, it roughly follows an old canal and parallels an active railroad.  We rode from Bainbridge to Marietta, PA along the Susquehanna River.

That dude with the dish store went bonkers!

They played rap music before the groundhog came out of his hole. He fought with those funny guys with the Top Hats. They have spotlights shining on the hole. Of course he saw his shadow!

Punxsutawney Phil is never wrong!  He comes out of the hole, you look at your colander, sure enough,  six more weeks of winter.   How extreme will the winter be?            :confusion-waiting:         Got to wait and see.

In my experience the ground hog is about as accurate as the dude that does then weather on TV,   and looks better too.   :scared-eek:

I just gotta :laughing-rolling:, people that believe a rodent can tell you how long winter will last,

if he sees his shadow there's 6 more weeks,

if he doesn't then there's just a month and a half.

I had to laugh that morning. My FB feed had a "live stream" from the hole and there they were on the stage. Dancing to Rap and launching T-shirts into the crowd with a T-shirt cannon! :hilarious:
