In Norfolk VA overlooking the Elizabeth River on a work trip this past December.
Thought it was cool with the cranes, jet trails, two helicopters, American flag on the middle crane…and of course the sunset.

Very neat. Of course if you were in certain countries the authorities might wonder about your interest in "sunsets."

Not outstanding by any means just nice to see at opposite ends of a day at the cabin or anywhere at all. Seems to warm the heart no matter what the temps are. Can't imagine life without it.

This one started as a 20X20 military prefab shelter.   Bought at an auction for 1500$.  The slab siding and porches were added later.    Owned by my sister on her farm atop the Appalachian Mts. in SW PeeAaa.

24/7/365 if you make it so.

We camp 3, 3-1/2 seasons here. Long as the snow isn't too deep. (That's just a PITA).

The BBT and I have been tent camping on purpose when we knew the temps were expected to be around 25⁰-30⁰.

One trip it was around 15⁰. Didn't go above freezing for 2 or 3 days even in the afternoon.

That was brisk. Needless to say the fire 🔥 was going well the whole time. 😂

We ain't exactly mentally right and we know it...

Isn’t subjecting one’s self to that supposed to have a beneficial effect on the mitochondria or sumpin?  If you don’t freeze, that is.  That said, I agree; You two must be nuts to camp in that kind of weather. 🥶🥶

I’d be willing to bet you’ll get over that inclination in a few more years, though…

Camping in the teens wasn't planned, but was prepared for.

It's when it gets below 25 or so that neither one of us is inclined to be away from a heated structure for long.
