kpinnc 13,080 #256 Posted February 18, 2022 And RED-06 is right. If that engine turns over, and fuel is over the outlet in the tank- your tractor could be upside down and it should pump fuel. But if your tank is almost empty, it's possible an incline could do it too.

You said you thought the problem was low fuel… if the fuel is low enough to cause it to run bad on an incline… you are OUT OF FUEL. If you have fuel in the tank it should run if the tractor was upside down.
Horse Newbie 7,168 #261 Posted February 18, 2022 If you need to work on the fuel system just cut the gas off at fuel pet cock.

TJ5208 1,824 #268 Posted February 18, 2022 (edited) And I'm hoping if I run it long enough maybe able to clean it out. Even though I will just end up cleaning the carb out. Edited February 18, 2022 by TJ Salyers

I think that as you get older, and more knowledgeable, you tend to always assume, (overthink) the problem is more complex than it actually is. 🤔🤔 But when you’re young and just starting out it’s the opposite, and you hope 🤞🤞the issue is simple, (cheap) to fix! 1

I plan on putting more SeaFoam in and then when I shut the tractor off it will soak to. Gas...just gas. No cleaner or spray, just gas...get it running again then go from there.
Snoopy11 5,717 #272 Posted February 18, 2022 I haven't visited this thread for a while... for various reasons. And I realize that my following comment will probably be the equivalent to pizzing in the wind... BUT... As someone who just read-through the 11 pages of this thread... I came to an epiphany... the same problem with the fuel system persists. Isn't it about time to take everything apart... clean everything... and reassemble? Common sense tells us that... this thread could go on for 2 dozen more pages with the same problem persisting. I left this thread for that reason... and it is probably only a matter of time before the rest of these guys do as well. Just a "Peter Lena" proactive thought here...
