Skipper 1,788 #2 Posted February 6, 2022 (edited) Lift front of tractor up, so it flows back over the internal front "bump"......... Or don't, it is not that much oil that's left there. Horse Newbie 7,074 #5 Posted February 6, 2022 I changed my oil and filter on my 1994 520H about 12 (hr meter) hours ago… When I finished, the tractor would not move forward or backwards. Folks on here had me run the engine, hand push the tractor forwards and backwards a bit, and operate the hydraulic lever back and forth… After doing these things, I guess it gave the oil a chance to flow throughout the hydraulic system and push out any possible trapped air. Been working fine since then… However, I do need to do the old “tree test” to see how strong the pump and transmission is… 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I do know this… wiggling the motion control lever forward and reverse helps some, and you don’t want to tow them( I’ve heard it will damage). peter lena 8,634 #16 Posted February 7, 2022 @lynnmor agree with you on your drainage / refill detailing , thats what makes the difference in a more thorough oil change. typically , just regularly keep an eye on all my check areas , never wait to use up or wear out lubricants ., also always have a fresh boot on hand if i need it , also spray that down with a super lube lubricant , to feed the rubber and make it last . like to put a road time flush on the old oil , fuel oil or auto trans fluid , really cuts the crud and varnish .
