When I turn one tire forward the other one goes backwards what does this mean do they just do that. 520-8

Yes, unless you have a ‘locked’ / ‘welded’ or ‘limited slip’ diff. Then both wheels turn in the same direction if one wheel is turned.

Yep happens with every differential. Cars, trucks, tractors, etc. Unless they are full posi traction.

Yes, and when you lock the brakes up, and go skidding down a grassy slope, one wheel will be turning forward and the other in reverse.:blink:

 

I'm going to come up with a plan to add brakes at each wheel.
