Increasing the input pulley speed on the transmission by a given percentage will reduce the torque input to the transmission by the same percentage. I think ill leave it stock. Just want more power who dont.

TJ5208 1,824 #178 Posted February 6, 2022 (edited) Would you guys consider these tires wore out. would you guys still stick fluid in them or not. Couldn't push any snow with ice underneath it today it would push a tiny bit then start spinning. any recommendations I don't really want to stick outside weights on it maybe inner wheel weights jut like the tractor look. I'm planning on filling all four tires. Edited February 6, 2022 by TJ Salyers
Howie 886 #179 Posted February 6, 2022 Not going to push much without at least chains on there. 4

For turf use, no, they aren't particularly worn out. They were never intended for snow. Edited February 6, 2022 by Jeff-C175

c-series don 8,720 #182 Posted February 6, 2022 @TJ Salyers Like others have said weight and two link chains are the key. As a kid I weighed about 120 lbs and I had (have) a Work Horse GT-1800 with chains and no extra weight and I could move mountains of snow.
TJ5208 1,824 #183 Posted February 25, 2022 So what tires would you guys recommend me getting for DA BEAST.
rmaynard 15,510 #184 Posted February 25, 2022 A lot depends on the look you are going for, the application you are going to using the tractor for, and how much money you have to spend. I personally like to use whatever tire Wheel Horse decided was right when the machine came off the assembly line. For that reason, I am a fan of Carlisle Turf Savers.
TJ5208 1,824 #185 Posted February 25, 2022 I know I will be using it for garden plowing. I will also will be Plowing snow gravel dirt And pulling dead weight and pulling heavy loads.
rmaynard 15,510 #186 Posted February 25, 2022 This is just my opinion, and I know this isn't going to help unless you have the budget for more than one set of tires, but AG's and tri-ribs for dirt plowing, turf's with weights and chains for snow plowing and dirt pushing.

How many times are you going to ask the same question in multiple threads? Bob @rmaynard had the best idea about keeping two sets of tires/wheels on hand for it. But since you probably only have one set of rims, here’s my opinion… Support an American company and buy the Carlisle Ags.

I don’t own any tri-ribs and these guys will correct me if I’m wrong, but I think they mount up and look better on narrower front rims. TJ5208 1,824 #200 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) @Horse NewbieThey have tubes I tried the ole soap trick nothing. The tractor just got really hard to steer so I checked the air pressure nothing. They don't flatting out but want some new tires. But the tires are very cracked. Edited March 14, 2022 by TJ Salyers
