If you mean my video, it’s my 1994 520H… not trying to hijack your thread.

Far from perfect for sure, but I like it !

It was a lot of fun giving it a refresh after it being neglected for years.

Edit:

The neglect was from a PO, not me… I saved it !

I think your choice of wheel color looks great Tim!

TJ- Congratulations on the 520-8. If you take care of it, it will serve you for a long time!

@kpinnc I plan on taking care of it I'm already trying to fix it up and I've only had it for 3 days.

@TJ Salyers  I chose a gloss white powder coat for the wheels, and a shiny chrome powder coat for the hub caps because the hub caps were rusty and I really didn’t want to spend the $$$$ to have them re-chromed. Used red and black paint markers to do the horse emblem and black stripe on the hub caps…

That was an idea I stole from @WVHillbilly520H

Well since this wheel horse is rare I don't think I'll be doing anything I can't turn back to stock.

If it was mine, I'd pull that engine shroud off and make sure there aren't any clippings or other debris on the cooling fins. Especially the rear cylinder.

And make sure you get an oil filter grommet to help improve airflow on that back cylinder. Part number below:

Oh the shroud is clean well it's never been used to mow but the Shroud is clean and thanks for the part number. I love how Air goes in the intake from the flywheel.

Not the shroud, but you have to remove it to see the cylinder cooling fins.

Not telling you what to do at all. Just offering opinions from seeing what happens when those Onans aren't kept cool. They are awesome engines- and it's not uncommon to see them with over 3000 hours run time. But if they aren't kept clean around the cylinders, they will throw the valve seats and self destruct.

You find all kinds on here… from pure stock to highly modified.

I like mine mostly stock too, but I’m not a purist.

Like on my 1994 520H, the wheels are silver stock, but I just like Gloss White on my tractor wheels.

Fix it the way you like it, as long as it’s an improvement.

Yeah, good thing he had the 520-8. My C-101 would have been bogged down in that blizzard.
