702 Tractor Drive Belt Guard

Hello All,

  I am in need of a belt guard for a 702. What model tractors share the same belt guard?  Thank you in advance.

@gwest_ca might be able to confirm, and @Achto has a lot of belt guard knowledge too.  I THINK that any belt guard of the same shape from the 60’s will work.  You MAY need to modify the front tab that bolts to the engine if it came from a Tecky machine.

The Tecumseh guards are different??  Looks like part #4423 for the belt guard.  Parts Tree will tell you which horses use that part.

Part 4423 shows up for 1962 and 1963 models.

When the indent for the model decal was eliminated it used a different part number.

The 4993 guard was used 1964-1968.

I do not know if these guards are the same except for the indent.

Any belt guard from a  tractor 1967 or older with a small block Kohler will work for sure. So other that the 633, which has a Kohler K141 which the guard will work. Any 7hp or 8hp Kohler model '67 or older.

THANK YOU!  Yes, I can wait. It is need of some parts, wheels and tires. Both front and rear, so time is not a huge deal. Thank you all!!! This forum is the greatest for Wheel Horse!!
