I started off the season with firewood that I cut from standing dead locust and thought it would be fine, but it gave me the worst case of creosote ever. I bought a moisture meter and burned only wood that was under roof since that mess and this cleaning could have been delayed a bit but I didn't want to take a chance and the weather was ideal. I brought in a good supply of wood that was under a tarp and got wide swings in moisture readings, so this batch won't be as good and some will be set aside for more drying. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
