Sun is out, temperature is warming, maybe I'll go for a hike......  Wait..... I need to clean the chimney and pipe before the coming bad weather.  :(

The... funny farm is going to become a ginormous ice rink... before getting 6+ inches of snow... at least... according to the local weather buffoons... :occasion-clown:

I've heard somewhere between 5" and 14" with maybe a light glaze of ice to start with :confusion-scratchheadyellow:

I'll believe it when I see it. The last snowstorm was predicted to be like that, we probably wound up with about 8".

I think I would rather have them predict 10" and get 5" as opposed to the other way around.

The way it’s coming down here, I’m believing their 14” predictions.  We have well over 8” of fresh snow.  I’ve plowed once today and will do it again in the next couple hours.

You can see me in that radar, Kevin... well... not me... but where I am...

Funny, it says that it is merely raining here... but I swear... I just had to take one of the female lady women here on the funny farm to the doctor... and the Ferd Explorer was sliding around a bit... that's even with AWD... (I'll be a horse's pa-toot if I take the Ranger out today... :snooty: ...it is covered up in the shop... awaiting a nice clear day...) :coffee:

I'm no meteorologist... but the freezing rain has... already started...

ON the bright side 6+ inches... looking more like 8-10 of snow...

Would be lovely if we don't lose power... which we probably will...

Same here Lynn.      I shut the wood burner down yesterday.    Today was soot cleaning day...my third one this winter.      I hiked to the tree stand and hung a trail cam

This was only the second, but I started off clean.  I started off the season with firewood that I cut from standing dead locust and thought it would be fine, but it gave me the worst case of creosote ever.  I bought a moisture meter and burned only wood that was under roof since that mess and this cleaning could have been delayed a bit but I didn't want to take a chance and the weather was ideal.  I brought in a good supply of wood that was under a tarp and got wide swings in moisture readings, so this batch won't be as good and some will be set aside for more drying.

Roughly 4 inches of snow/sleet out there now...

'bout an inch of ice from freezing rain...

Front stalled out across our region. Not going to end any time soon.
