Have older than that bu not from Kenny. This one is rare. It’s a Master recording . Directly from performer onto this these . No tape or editing involved.

When I think of the old vinyl my parents had. Hoo-Boy! My brother drew beards on all the album covers when he was in Jr. High. Patsy Cline with a go-tee!

Literally over one thousand here. Besides mine I inherited a few collections . I’ll dig out a few oldies.

From about any known genre and then some unknown I have it. Have quite a few valuable ones. First two photos are some of what is played in shop alone. 
  Not really possible to list. Just some photos to give you an idea of what is here. Classical I probably have everything possible to have. Inherited also tons of German records. I really enjoy many of those.  Also Broadway musicais, shows ,etc. 
 

Of course those are vinyl. We could also go into Cassetes and CDs but I am not fond of those . One would however would not realize that looking around here.

Very nice Cas!  I'm a big fan of the swing era of big band, but also Bluegrass... REAL bluegrass, not the watered down stuff that some people call bluegrass.

 

And, I didn't see any Bill Monroe or Flatt & Scruggs in your samples!

Nicely done, Cas!  It's interesting to me to see how diverse your collection is, to see your collection of classical and jazz and musicals and everything else you show here, and then to read your comments and enthusiasm for people like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck in contrast.  You are indeed a well-rounded music aficianado!

 

I recognized almost all of the albums you showed in the last two photos, except for the one that looks like somebody scratched their initials and names on the top of an old school desk.  My friend Bing (Microsoft's kid, "Because It's Not Google") reminded me that's Alice Cooper's School's Out album... DOH!

I knew that Banjo mean trouble sooner or later. We are also actually a big fans of Blue grass. That is actually the background music here at home all the time. Starting in the morning we simply say "Alexa play Bluegrass music" and that is that until bedtime pretty much. Incredibly you got me there though.No Bluegrass vinyl.

Thank you I appreciate that. Actually always a big conversation topic with many friends and acquaintances. Since of a young age I was always fascinated with sound and the art of reproducing it accurately. That made me explore and then come to appreciate all kinds of music. Not only the sound captivated me, but as I became older I started to realize that specially when it comes to lyrics pretty much all music whether it is opera or rap, it all has value and importance. It is a form of story telling and personal expression. We may not like things like the singers ethnicity,clothes, or attitudes but if we listen to what is said we may start to understand what they feel and experience in their lives. For me is started listening to people like Arlo Guthrie and Bob Dylan amongst others. I still listen to Bob Dylan regularly. It is incredible that a lot of what was said back then it is still relevant today.

 

Of all the instruments I have always been fascinated with guitars and guitar players.Unlike others, there seems to be no limits as to how innovative the playing of that instrument can be.Whether it is the use of technology or the style and technique of the player, there seems to be no limit .No other instrument will have a sound with which one can immediately identify its player. That is in my opinion the ultimate form of expression through an instrument of any kind. While most people will probably concentrate on watching the player overall and appreciate the sound and playing of course, I tend to concentrate in watching what their hands are doing. Only that way one can understand how some of those unique sounds are made.As an example a lot goes on with Beck's right hand. As much as  five different things are done with that hand at the same time from plucking three strings simultaneously, using the tremolo, volume , tone and smacking the body with the heel of his hand at the same time. All of this at an incredible speed and seamlessly. Many others  such as Al DiMeola and John McLaughlin are incredible technicians of the instrument.

 

Yes,School's Out. That is one of my favorite albums. Bought that in my teens. Record sleeves were  paper girl's panties. Sadly those went missing .

Since October fourth 1970 she's been shouting to a different crowd. Very troubled life she lived. Tremendous talent, cut short by the demand that is now an epidemic.

Agree. One of the few voices that raises the hair on the back of my neck. Would the talent be the same without the trouble? Seems to be a pattern with so many.

You are right, she poured her troubles out when she performed. She's one of my favorites.
