Yepp. In the new garden site area the excavator machine got most of the big stuff out or moved around. (Like to the pond for example). Wherever the glaciers partied during the last ice age - like SE Michigan - doesn’t matter what you plant, the soils yield a very consistent crop of field stone - guaranteed that’s a “crop” you’ll get…! Didn't take long to build up some really nice borders and divider walls. One side of my own land has a wall that dates back at least to the 1840s. Even if we CAN'T get all or most of the rocks out we'll still do a garden in the same place. Just be more of a row of mounds instead of digging in. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
