520-8 LED light replacements

You guys know of any lights I could put on my tractor that are LED because the lights that's on it now draw way too many amps

@TJ Salyers  agree with  @WHX??  on those  4411 par led headlights , very bright and practically zero amp draw , walmart also has led taillights , $ 7 each . have that set up on my horses , also add to your electrical grounding for best contact . pete

@TJ Salyers Here are some I just ordered for my 1994 520H…

Technically I have not installed or tried mine yet.

I ordered 6000K which @kpinnc on here said may lean a little towards the blue side of the light spectrum, and @kpinnc said (I think) that he ordered 5000K which would be leaning more toward whiter light. 
You probably won’t notice too much of a difference.

Like @kpinnc said just search PAR 36 LED bulbs on Amazon. I believe I got the same as @kpinnc got, and I trust him wholeheartedly ( check out his tractors and you’ll see why).

Three reasons I like the ones I got…

1.  They are glass all the way around.

2.  They have the little protrusion  that keeps them from rotating in the light bezel.

3.  When you look at the front they look more original than some LED’s you see.

( On some you can see the Light Emitting Diodes on the inside of the bulb )

 

I don’t have a link, but mine are Skyever brand.

The seller on Amazon was Skylite Lighting.

Two bulbs were like $22 or $24 dollars… can’t remember.

@TJ Salyers   how about this ,https://www.amazon.com/Vstar-PAR36-Halogen-Landscape-Waterproof/dp/B017IFJ93I?th=1  , bulbs are very bright , crisp and clear. neatest thing is the very low amp draw, also have walmart  led tail lights on my 3 horses , exact replacement for rear reflectors , as with any related wiring , if you have a nagging problem , get that fixed , BEFOR ADDING TO IT . been increasing my ELECTRICAL GROUNDING , for every function . best ground starting point ? battery ground cable , mount bolt , behind dash . have that cable connected to , engine corner / frame  , near clutch pedal , add electrical lug to that corner bolt , 10 / 12 ga wire , from there to charging rectifier mount bolts , on engine ,and from there to head light ground , better starting , charging and bright lights . have this on my 3 horses , lots of hours , no problems. pete

@Achto   that simple grounding enhancement has eliminated my  electrical gremlins , of course , any obvious other problems were also taken care of . consider that a main ground line from , battery , thru chassis to lights . others have said there is no need to ground engine / chassis . I think of it as an an easy opportunity , to verify solid ground flow. that bolt on lug with serrated washer and dielectric grease , is an assured ground / simple  easy go to . when i turn my ignition key start , its like , solidly engaged . this set up works for me , others will say there is no need , you can do a simple alligator clip on wire test run , to try it out , THATS WHAT I DID  , the difference was consistently / solidly  there .  many hours on this , worth a trial run , pete

Regarding the color I went with 3k as it was said here that the 6k might offer too much glare off of snow. My blaster lights are 6 k and glare is not real terrible.

The reason I mentioned superbrightleds is because you can choose the color temp in most cases, and they ship pretty quick. They aren't quite as cheap as Amazon, but you typically know exactly what you're going to get.

@WHX??… what ?… do you have to take that rig inside so the sun can come up ?

Darn LEDs are BRIGHT!!!

 

I have a set of Nilight lights on one of my tractors. I can see every booger on pedestrians' faces...

Those are LED and pull too many amps? Something is wrong. LEDs pull less amps than the factory incandescent bulbs.

@kpinnc I don't think they're LEDs I think they came stock from the factory. I'm trying to find some replacement LEDs.

@Jwright3190 , don,t have the direct link , but wallmart regularly has them or related in stock , they were the exact matching size to original reflectors . also used some 1/4" wire wrap on related wires to prevent chafing / shorting . think they were 3 or 4 " . they last too, no problems or issues . that walmart stock is always changing , and I  regularly stop in , so it was no issue getting them , pete
