Remember, the F plate on a 953/1054 is MUCH thicker than a smaller Horse.  3/8” or 1/2” thick if I recall.

Didn't know that and good thing to have in this application. Are the frame members also stronger?

Thanks for the info.

I want to say they are.  @953 nut?  Are the frames heavier?

Picked up some locking collars and fuel items at the hardware store.  Spending the big bucks!  $39 more out of the till.

I opted to work most of last night instead of sleep.  Momma asked me to be in by 11 tonight.  Let’s see if I can make it that long!  Almost 5 hours!  :banana-wrench:

Sometimes when your on a roll ya just can't stop.

Guilty of that a few times.

Sometimes get cleaned up just in time to hop in the truck and head for work.

The steering shaft is welded up.  Another item in the swap that was almost meant. To. Be.

It’s practically on the exact plane as the front pivot point!  I will check the length of the tie rod or intermediate rod soon.

There is one for sale that has been taunting me for a couple weeks now. I just can't make the 9-10hr round trip at the moment.

:confusion-confused:      Don't remember the numbers but think the angle iron was 1/8" thicker and 1/4" wider than the 1055.

not to mention all the welded structure from the fenders, steering tower and tunnel. @Handy Don :handgestures-thumbupright:

The outside dimensions are 8” wide.

Yep, I've never looked closely at these "big" ones but I'll be checking them out at the next big show! (And I'll bring my calipers!)

We lost all our snow here in the last two days to rain and then sun. Sigh.

With that variable pulley on the engine, Do you need to add another one on the trans too? Like a torque converter does?

Or can the belt slack be taken up as it changes with a spring loaded idler pulley on the normal clutch pulley spot? or something else?

I’m planning :handgestures-fingerscrossed: that it will simply act like a clutch.  Idle will slack the belt.  Rev it up and it bites… getting tighter and tighter until it’s closed.

Time for trailing arm mounts.  I turned one of these cuts…
