If you can get it go fast the smoke won't be near as bad. and there nothing wrong with a smoke screen.  Might be just a little to much oil in the gas but it helps out with the compression.

Man I just watched your YT vids and that’s gonna be cool! I do think possibly the belt might be a problem. Being so small I’m afraid you’ll smoke it IDK. I’m confident you’ll figure it out one way or another. I can’t wait to see that in action. 👍

After running a couple minutes WITH THE DOORS OPEN I see that the belt began running along with the engine.  I’ll be adding guides or tabs as needed to stop it at idle.  I’m just so glad it fired up after all this time!

Remember, that pulley is going to get bigger, from the belt's point of view.  Guides and tabs might need to be on the inside of the belt, not outside as per usual on a Wheel Horse.

If you need to a support outside on the lower part of the belt, maybe a roller or idler pulley?

That was loud.

Turned on the Razer Adaro headphones... clicked play on the video... volume was at 100%... :laughing-rolling:

My plan is to remove the belt guard, then work the pulley closed and tighten it all, then decide where to guide it.  Ideally make it work well without the cover.

The todo list has been updated.  Otherwise, it was kind of a lazy day for me.

In the '60s and early '70s a Motel/Bar, the Wigwam, at Sandy Pond NY held stock Car races on the ice. They would use a snow plow to create a good flat raceable surface with a snow retaining wall and add a few hay bales in the turns. We had a blast watching the carnage and everyone loved it except the "Good People on the Town Counsel" (AKA the Fun Police) who outlawed it in the mid '70s

DANG I had to watch that TWICE.

Now that does look like fun.

I wonder what he is using for a gearbox.

I had my fair share of ice racing on my 660 Raptor… always got first place.  Never had any competition.  Any.  Never got anyone to join the club :ROTF:

no idea, but my favorite part was him taking off at first and walking it away, front tires up off the ice a very good amount!  I love a good wheelie machine!

I’ll begin by tying in to the shock mount holes.
