Choke is installed and close to the pull rope for starting.

The throttle cable is quite short, since the carbs are opposite the engine now instead of near the dash.  Any ideas on lengthening a cable?  Bicycle shop?

Depending on the throttle you have, just order a longer cable.

Or go full on backyard hammer mechanic and extend it with a piece around the shop by doing something like this. Not to scale of coarse but that can afford it some adjustment too by connecting to different holes. :twocents-02cents:

Thanks John!  Being a dual carb plus oil injection, I’m not sure exactly what to do.  Probably extend the other end!

Yeah, there's a lot going on there on that one.

What about something like this? 2 pcs bolted together holding the ends

Don’t go over budget on that cable gentleman… you got almost $13.00 big ones on this build so far… :teasing-signhere:

This better @ebinmaine?

As copied from the Colossus thread…. :ROTF:

I found a 10” extension kit by Powermadd.  It works with all brands, except a late model Arctic Cat or something.  Chalk up another $35.34 on the board for this project Silvia.  It’s getting expensive!

@wallfish this extension kit would make you proud.  I think I dreamed about making one of these last night.  Instead of the ball on the extension, I would have had to use a set screw and a piece of the cable from the parts sled.

Hindsight, I should have checked the Arctic Cat sled.  It seems to be a much larger machine and has taller bars.  Oh well.

If the watermarks don’t express this enough, phot credits to Dennis Kirk.

I'm actually glad that you didn't test drive it yet.

When is the last time that engine ran, @Pullstart???

I was thinking, you might want to pull the spark plugs out, and squirt some 2 stroke oil in the cylinder.

Cylinder might be a bit dry. :eusa-think:

Can you some how get those trailing arms right to the frame of the tractor? Maybe cut them by the spindle, bend them in and weld back together? Might have to change the angle on the other end as well. Single bolt on each at the frame.

I made that seat just to see how it would look and I remembered Richard @953 nut was doing a lot of parades so I offered it to him free of charge.. But he said he would probably not need it. So I started thinking about who would use it and @Pullstart came to mind. The rest is history. I'm glad your using it.

@Pullstart, Just started wondering if you have a "frequent visitor" status at the local ER?

the last time I was there for self inflicted injuries, my deep cut turned into a stab wound… then they asked me to not say stab.  It gets the authorities involved.  :ROTF:

Goodies just showed up.  So long as they fit, I’ll be giving the machine some oil and a snort of fuel soon.
