Snoopy11 5,714 #1 Posted January 26, 2022 Hey guys, SO... I am very interested in what you guys have used for car covers... and even tractor covers... what brand... etc. I recently bought a Seal Skin cover for the Ranger... and am VERY impressed with the quality. As well, the Ranger has some pretty heavy body modifications... and it fits perfectly. I am interested in possibly getting some covers for the rest of my equipment in this shop... and equipment in my other shop. I am just a bit wary of some brands online. Seal Skin is pretty expensive... so I probably won't be purchasing any more of those any time soon... even with the high quality. COVER ME!!! Don
SylvanLakeWH 25,602 #2 Posted January 26, 2022 Meh… The ‘s don’t do covers… they work… Cars? Covers? Nope… Now, please do cover any green tractors with whatever you have on hand… tarp, rags, dirt, daily cover at the local land fill…etc… But seriously, if I was to cover I think I would use an old bedsheet(s). Lite weight, no abrasion, free…etc… 3 2

Achto 27,609 #4 Posted January 27, 2022 1 hour ago, SylvanLakeWH said: Lite weight, no abrasion, free…etc… And they breath. A cover that does not breath will trap moister inside. Moister = RUST. I have some old sheets that I throw over my restored 's to keep the dust off from them in the winter. 4

Beyond noting that those ‘s are being turned into sissy’s with such treatment… Why don’t you just hire @WHX?? to dust them weekly for you? He could earn some spare curd money and you get the entertainment value in return… Just a thought 1

I'm too anal about grooming my 's, he'd tell me to bugger off way before I was happy with how clean they were. 2 1

kpinnc 12,097 #8 Posted January 27, 2022 We have barn cats, so I have to cover my machines so as to head off dusty footprints and picks on my seats. The best thing I've found are just cheap moving blankets. They breathe, but bead water so long as it's just a little, and are heavy enough to stay on in a breeze.
oliver2-44 9,761 #9 Posted January 27, 2022 The last few years In September when they move the leftover Gas Grill Covers to the clearance shelf I’ve bought a few. I use them to cover my future project tractors stored in a 3 sided old barn at the farm. Most of them have some ventilation panels so I don’t think they trap much moisture. 2
Pullstart 62,916 #10 Posted January 27, 2022 Snoop, thanks for sparing our eyes of too much blue oval! If that was in my shop, I’d hide it too! As for covers, I should look into something for the real special ones, but for now I use the roof of the barn. It seems sturdy enough that the wind doesn’t bother it much.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #11 Posted January 27, 2022 Imo unless you are 💯 certain no mice in your storage area don’t use a cover! In fact I keep the hoods open on my tractors when possible to help prevent mice

You may not like that it is a Ford, but I guarantee... if you saw it in person and heard it... you would like it just because of the workmanship that went into it. Besides... it doesn't have a Ford power-plant anymore. ATK racing. The reason I haven't take video of the way it sounds... is because it is so loud... the microphone cannot pick up the sound. It just distorts. I might try again to get a sound clip at some point... I just haven't had much luck... ANYWAY... with all the money I have thrown at it... I BETTER COVER IT!!! All the crap that goes on in the shop... it seems to be a magnet for dirt, dust, welding materials... bird crap (somehow)... among other things... Pullstart 62,916 #13 Posted January 27, 2022 It’s all in good fun buddy 👍. I like to razz, but I know it takes all kinds of enthusiasts to make the hobby world work. Yes, even Green and Yellow stuff…
