TJ5208 1,824 #1 Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) Who all hates when the bolt or nut breaks loose when you have a ton of pressure on it I've smashed my finger a few times. Or when out of no where the wrench slips. I'm like ouch one second and back at doing what I hurt myself doing again. squonk 41,067 #4 Posted January 26, 2022 Rag fires! Working in a Chevy dealership and a guy working across the shop is cutting an exhaust off. He has a rag in his back pocket and it catches fire. I see it and yell "Tony you're on fire!" Guy next to him grabs a water hose. Tony pats out the fire. Then the guy with the hose seeing the fire is out, blasts him with the hose anyway! Good Times! 1

ri702bill 8,316 #6 Posted January 26, 2022 My all-time least favorite is when the pliers slip and you get a blood blister on a finger to show for it ... Bill 6 1 1

Just made me cringe a little bit. A pop rivet gun can be a good one for that as well. Get some flesh between the handles as the rivet nail breaks off and the handles slam together. cafoose 3,354 #9 Posted January 26, 2022 Whenever I break a bolt loose wherever possible I open my hand and use my palm to push the wrench. I don't wrap my fingers around it to break it loose. When the bolt breaks loose, and the wrench moves quickly towards an object, my hands are free and off the wrench. No skin harmed and the bolt is loose Don't ask how I learned this 6

Jeff-C175 7,199 #11 Posted January 26, 2022 Y'all need to listen to that little voice you hear in your head just before something bad happens. That voice is your Guardian Angel trying to stop you before you hurt yourself! 7

8ntruck 6,998 #13 Posted January 26, 2022 Got a scar on one of my fingers from the time I was holding something with a pair of pliers and trying to bend it by prying with a screwdriver. Milliseconds before the screwdriver slipped, that little voice said "you should re-think this 'cause that screwdriver will plow a furrow in your finger if it slips".

squonk 41,067 #21 Posted January 27, 2022 (edited) Nope. These guys went at it all the time. One time Tony was in McDonalds drive thru getting a morning coffee and the other guy Joe was behind him with his truck. After Tony paid for his coffee, Joe pushed him past the drive thru window and ended up with Tony's coffee! Edited January 27, 2022 by squonk
