Cool!  after reading that article I went down the rabbit holes on the right side of the page... didn't find my way back out for HOURS!  ;)

Alot of 500+ HP engines up here being in hill country and logging country.  

Nothing like  wide open exhaust downhillin' to wake ya up.

them were the days remember working on cabovers had couple them freightliners at work but mostly cab over IH 9670's . hated jacking the cab up if you forgot anything loose in cab it broke the windshield when it flew out of the bunk .

My brother in law lives north of the westbound lane of I-80 here in Ohio and its a sound he hears daily as well. Mainly because that section descends west.

Absolutely understandable. 

I'd not want to hear them all day either.  

Much as I absolutely love a big diesel I'm the first one to shut them down when I don't need it running.
