I moved a large item that was about 1/2” off the ground and found a neat pile of these. I’ve seen ‘em before too. They are just under 1/8” diameter and very uniform. anyone got a crappy idea as to who I’m dealing with? We have mice at random living in the middle of a field, I’m seen just a couple rats, but these droppings are surely not theirs. I searched and found that termites leave uniform 6 sided droppings of varying wood colors, but these are smooth and I don’t see any skid damage or flying insects. I would guess morning glory seeds that either got stashed or wind blown into it. We find them blown into all kinds of hidey holes. Mice stash them too. They try to get them before the birds do. We don't call this place Morning Glory hill for nothing. 3

SPINJIM 1,981 #32 Posted January 23, 2022 Looking at the swirl marks in the dust around them, I'm thinking of a snake. They would easily fit into that 1/2" space.

I forgot to mention that.

Jeff-C175 7,202 #35 Posted January 23, 2022 I would be much more concerned about what critter pooped this out! Anything that can poop that is not to be reckoned with ! (at least not without the proper PPE!)

kpinnc 12,065 #38 Posted January 23, 2022 I honestly clicked on this link expecting to see a pile of Legos... ...because I've found them to be highly annoying, and indestructible. Certainly stronger than the heavily callused 52 year old bottoms of my feet!
Pullstart 62,902 #39 Posted March 1, 2022 Well. I’m pretty convinced this is from a critter. Found ‘em again, up an entire exhaust system right behind the catalytic converter. Couldn’t have been dropped by a plant… ok, they might have been transported though. 1/2” copper coupling for size reference.
