Roger R 448 #32 Posted January 19, 2022 23-10.50-12, Front weight is essential for steering control, the roller chain works great, but can damage pavement. It is hard enough to scratch concrete.

I tried some from Tractor supply... and ended-up taking them back... Front end slides around a bit too much for my taste. Just my opinion, others can disagree. I think, for the purposes you want to use this tractor for, and in our terrain in Indiana, you will not like tri ribs at all... Best gripping tires are going to be the 23degree tread on the Firestone's. Carlisle True Power's running second. The DeeStones are the best bang for the buck but they tend to run small. A 10.50 wide DeeStone is more on the lines of a 9.50. 2

For cost purposes, you could go with something like this... but expect... no traction... Don
Maxwell-8 4,277 #47 Posted January 19, 2022 (edited) Deestone run very small. But those in 10.5 would fit perfect on a stock 7" wide rim I would say go for the Charlsie thru power! @Achto beat me to it haha Edited January 19, 2022 by Maxwell-8

I was going to go up in size on my recent project... but when I saw that I would have to pay $75+ more... I decided to stay with stock size... Don

I don't have direct experience with the Firestones because I'm too cheap. 😂 I do have Carlisle Tru Power with the Carlisle Rim Guard (two words). It's a rim edge protector lip built in to the tire. I do NOT recommend the Deestones at the rear unless you seriously overcompensate for the VERY SMALL size. I also will throw in another vote for the front tires getting the roller chains.
