rmaynard 15,518 #27 Posted January 22, 2022 My wife's 2002 Subaru had a habit of having the buildup under the oil filler cap. Dealer said it's common in our climate. Nothing to worry about. If there is water in the oil, it will settle to the bottom of the pan after a couple of days of sitting. Remove the drain plug and run off a little oil. If it is normal oil color, you don't have a problem.
Ifixoldjunk 778 #28 Posted January 22, 2022 I decided to try to burn off some condensation today by just mulching up some snowbanks. My neighbors probably think I’m a nut playing with tractors in this weather😅 after a hour at 3/4 throttle it seemed to burn off most of the slime.
