Hydraulic valve C-160

Recommended Posts

Stingingbee

I saw a picture of a C-160 like mine, but his hydraulic valve for the deck was mounted on the outside of tractor on the left side. This makes 2 i have saw mounted like this. Definitely looks like it would make it easier to get to the valve if need be. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Cause while mine is apart, i am thinking about moving mine. Thanks.

I’m guessing older style Chargers and whatnot had the hydraulic lift valve external of the tower.  I don’t recall the C series not having it that way, but maybe it moved inside like the 520H?

How many pounds could the hydraulic lift lift on C-series?

I haven't been able to find a written rating.

Seems 300 lbs front and 300 + rear is normal.

Example would be the largest implement.

2 stage snowblower and maybe a tiller ?

I made a bracket similar to the older factory versions for my dual spool setup. As you can see, I add brackets everywhere I think it's needed.

Very happy it isn't inside the dash like my 5xx tractors.

As they tried to modernize and or streamline, they just made them harder to work on and look less like "tractors"...

Like that long custom lever.

I can understand the desire to have that a LOT longer than OE now that I've run one a few times.

That is similar to the one i saw.

The valve looked more like the one that (ebinmaine) has shown is his pic. Minus the long handle. And was mounted on a C-160. When i have time i will try to pull some pics off of my  phone and put on here.

Anyway i see valve ( can ) be mounted outside, instead of inside in a tight area.

That's a "quote" I took from @squonk's pic a couple up from my post.

My own C-160 Automatic has the one shown but with the shorter lever.

Not at all sure why your rig would have the lever INSIDE the tower.

Please do post pics when you can...
