JCM 9,136 #1 Posted January 11, 2022 (edited) Some pictures for all that either enjoy or hate the white stuff, with the equipment that was used past and present. Back then the 2 stage blower was the one that saw the most action. Nowadays the 48'' blade does most of the cleanup with the help of a larger loader if things get deep. The accumulations seemed to have decreased but the fun is still the same. Enjoy snow lovers. Added the snowmobile pics to show the snow depth. Jeff-C175 7,201 #3 Posted January 11, 2022 I see you've got the 1950s Popular Mechanics clothesline too! One in my yard also.
Darb1964 1,042 #4 Posted January 11, 2022 All we have been getting in the Berkshires of Massachusetts is ice this year, treacherous this past weekend. I must admit I'm not missing the three foot storms and all the work it in tails, clearing the roof, deck, paths to the barns and animals. I must be getting old I used to love the winter and snow, health being what it is these days days don't help either. I'd take some snow over ice if I had the choice, my truck was parked outside over the weekend and I let it run for an hour and still had to chisel it out.
Pullstart 62,840 #5 Posted January 11, 2022 I just noticed something. I’m sure I’m well behind the 8 ball on this one. Say a guy stuck wings on a 2 stage. Would it eat it up all the more?
JCM 9,136 #6 Posted January 11, 2022 Not sure on that @Pullstart those 44's do very well the way they were designed. IMO

I’m guessing you would need to adjust your speed down to not overwhelm the blades… maybe worth it maybe not after adjusting speed…
ebinmaine 67,455 #8 Posted January 12, 2022 Cool pics Jim. I've been in this mountainside location almost 17 years. Trina's been here 6-1/2 or so. We average about a 3 foot snowpack annually. Back 5 or 6 seasons ago we had a run of snow storms that wouldn't let up. Our snow pack was over the top of the 5 foot tall gas grille.
