Are these people for real?

So I am waiting for this package coming through USPS. Supposed to be delivered today. Checked tracking last night and everything was ok , package located in Kearny distribution center which is correct location and close to me. Today I check and package in now in Hawaii?

With only a 5 hour and 2 minute time period to make that trip, I'm betting this is a clerical error.

 

Or the USPS has a time warp device.

I am hoping but seriously doubt it. Their times do not make sense anyway. When it arrived in the Newark distribution center coming from Jersey city( 2 blunders right there) and then it went to Kearny( correct center for my area), although close there is no way they got it there in 22 minutes unless they blocked all roads and had a police escort . Even with that they would not make it in that time.

Must be like most air travel, some times you gotta go west to catch a flight east. 

 

Had a similar tracking snafu recently. Package made it almost to my door & then it went 3 states south. 2 days later it finally arrived.

Perhaps they are using ‘A**zon’ drones 🛸 for delivery, and the poor thing got lost?😢

I haven't had one go to HI yet but have consistently had issues with packages from CA. Last week I ordered a couple vacuum fuel pumps and made it a point to order from someone east of the Mississippi. I found a guy in NJ so I placed the order. He ended up shipping from a 'ptnr' (partner?) site in CA Sure enough, the same issues out of that state. Starts in Chino, CA and goes to the City of Industry, CA and sits there. It's been sitting there five days now. Estimated delivery is still Jan. 10.

Couple of years back I was sending a pair of bearings to a member here, no cost, just a gift to help him out. They were going to a PO Box so I had to use USPS.  USPS managed to get the package to the sorting facility about sixty miles away and it was lost. Several inquires were made but no sign of the package for two months. The intended recipient was in a bind so I packed up a second pair of bearings and headed back to the post office. I explained the lost package details to the post master and requested they pick up the tab for shipping the second package. They said no deal, "it wasn't their fault that the first package was lost"!    Pardon Me, if it wasn't their fault whos was it?  Perhaps the Postal Gremlin! 

I returned home and repackaged the bearings in a manner that should prevent their being lost.

This time the package didn't get lost!

 I ran into him last year.  Shows NJ ships from CA.  Never deal with him again....

I needed some Hobart dishwasher parts badly. ( Lunch ladies get ornery if they have to wash by hand)  Normally get them in 2 days right from Hobart. 2 days no parts. Wait another day, nothing. The campus I worked out of has several bldgs. So I call all of them incase the parts got dropped off at the wrong spot. It had happen before. Nothing. So I Re-order the parts. Figuring either I will get them the 2nd time or The originals would show up too. Either way I could fix this stupid machine. 2nd set arrives machine is fixed. I call Hobart to get a lost merchandise claim started. Phone rings. It's another school our organization had an office at. "We got a box that's been sitting here a week from Hobart" I'm thinking "Nice of you to call in a timely fashion"  I get the box and look at the label. Hobart put the correct address on the box. UPS put ANOTHER LABEL with the wrong address on top of it!
