1969 GT-14 Rims

Recommended Posts

I am cleaning up my old 1969 GT-14.  Electrically/ Mechanically so far so good.  Rear tires/rims are new.  I found front tires new however I am not certain I can continue to use the front rims.  Dumb question... Is there a new old stock replacement rim out there and are they affordable?

Many thanks

Got pictures of the front rims?  Given the loads and speeds these tractors operate at, some repair methods can be used on them that would not work on automotive wheels.

You may want to call Lincoln at A-Z Tractor.   https://a-ztractor.com/

Thanks,  Yeah I am certain I could weld the rust holes and use tubes. I was just hoping a new bolt on was available.  I will check with lincoln.

Thanks

I decided to fix. replacement rims were a bit much for me price-wise.  Pretty much done with fixing my horse.  I still need tie rod ends and the steering wheel may not be correct.  Thank you for the input!

Looks great!

Tell us about those rear rims? Or are they hubcaps?

The rims are "mag wheels"(aluminum/magnesium?) my younger brother bought for his trans am  I have center plastic hub caps however i do not like the way they look painted red.   At the time my dad and I were restoring the GT-14 the first time.  It has been a five lug rear with car tires since mid 80 s.  My dad machined a hub that uses the original 4 lug to mount from behind converting the 4 into a 5 lug.  Tires are brandy new power king skid-steer tires.  The front rims were a rusty wreck.  It had the original tires with tubes.  New tires and fixed rims.

Its a twenty footer.  I am not a painter.  I think better than before.  I broke the throttle cable horsing in the snow.  I just fixed with a T handle jeep part a kind member recommended.

Thank you all for your input.  Super fun hobby/addiction.  I am not an expert!
