ebinmaine 67,496 #55 Posted January 30, 2022 @oliver2-44 and @squonk don't you boys be gettin' too excited here. I still have a HUGE preference toward manual transmissions for all but plowing. I am open minded though. Perhaps you can convince through careful wording what other realms of incredible feats are available to us Hydro owners.
squonk 41,111 #56 Posted January 30, 2022 You can lift 12" plows out of the ground. Also easier to navigate through crowds at tractor shows 3
rjg854 11,361 #57 Posted January 30, 2022 It's a lot easier to lift the snowblower that's made for a wheel horse than it is lifting it by your arm. I know you use a walk behind but it's a lot easier to be able to drive that snowblower around. 5

Eric, it’s just the 3000 W generator and with the pulley I have on the engine it usually runs a little over half throttle to keep the voltage indicator on the high side of the green. I tested it using two large shop vacs and it does really well. Edited January 31, 2022 by cschannuth
kpinnc 12,028 #65 Posted January 31, 2022 The last few weeks have given me alot to reminisce about. We just don't get much snow here, and even if we do it's gone quick. You know what I love about winter weather? ...Not one thing. It bleeping sucks! 2
Racinbob 11,081 #66 Posted January 31, 2022 Well, it's getting close enough so the weather forecast stands a chance of being right. We are on the very south edge of a band that's supposed to get 8-12". The band just south is 12"+. Soooooo.............. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 40's before the bottom drops out later in the day. We've got some small piles along the drive from a previous snowfall. I'm gonna push them further away from the drive so when they refreeze I'll still have a place for the new snow.

My brother has been looking for a tractor for years, he has borrowed mine a few times over the years. Every time he returns it he would say, that's a nice tractor but when I find the right one it will be gear box tractor. Needless to say he found one at a price he couldn'tn pass up, only thing Hydro. He also said it would be a JD, well he's a Kubota owner and loves it. The more he works it the more he likes it. Being the good brother I am, I didnt say, I told you, probably because he says, I know before I can.

With the three small snow storms we got there was a lot of other stuff to clean up, This is the last of five loads of limbs and leafs i've clean up in the last two weeks. The other four load came out from a live oak. Edited February 1, 2022 by Lee1977 5
