c-series don 8,707 #10 Posted December 23, 2021 I’ve been in the snowplowing business since 1986( mostly commercial and municipal work) the day I can sit home and watch the snow come down and not have to worry about going to work is going to be one of the happiest days of my life. I just want to use my 417-A with the two stage blower or C-160 with 48” blade or GT-1800 with 50” mid-mount grader blade or if it’s a light snow my C-141 8-speed with C-48 Sweepster rotary broom! Then go back in the house and throw another log on the fire, have some hot chocolate!! 4

Handy Don 12,225 #19 Posted December 23, 2021 (edited) I have to chuckle at this thread. On a visit to the Everglades after Hurricane Andrew, we rode a boat into some areas still accessible. It was a cool morning, around 62º, so our family wore long sleeve shirts and pants and were quite comfortable. The guide and the helmsman were both wearing parkas with the hoods up and gloves and complaining about the cold! 953 nut 55,228 #21 Posted December 24, 2021 When I lived in Florida the best part about winter was that there were fewer mosquitos! This morning it was twenty six degrees but in the afternoon it went up to the low sixties and Christmas day is forecast to be in the mid seventies.

Richard, I've spent a lot of time in the smoky mountains, 60's as a child camping, and as an adult camping, skiing, and white water rafting and just vacationing. As much as I love my beach and rivers I have to say I think the best place to live in this country is between Helen Ga. and Ashwville Nc. 1

I'm smack dab in the meddle, about sixty five miles to either one. When we were fed up with Florida and looking for a location to retire in we found Franklin to be to our liking and have never regretted it. 1
