Belt numbers cross reference?

Recommended Posts

Brockport Bill

I am guessing this has happened to others and likely been asked before??????? I have some stray belts - many have numbers, but not all - is there a cross reference guide, or web site, if I enter the WH belt number tells the model WH it fits and where/how its used? and if its not a WH belt - then tells the corresponding WH/toro belt number ? EG: the model tractor and if pto, drive belt, deck belt, blower, etc?? OR, if belt did not have identifier number but if I measured dimensions that I could locate a cross reference of a measurment to a belt number... then cross reference that number? Trying not to throw away these good belts and obviously trying to NOT order belts i do not need if in fact i have belts that would match various applications -- but want to avoid labor intensive and frustrating work of trying belts on various tractors to see if they fit - thanks

Go to the search box at the top right and click on the box.

A drop down menu will come up. Select Files.

Enter Wheel Horse/Toro part number in box and search. See what comes up.

does the term drive belt refer to the belt from the p.t.o. to the mower deck  -- and the term spindle belt refer to the belt on the mower deck that circulate around the spindle pulleys?

That is correct.

Try the Gates site with others. Getting them to a Gates number will give the size.

In the back of the belt manuals we have there is a Wheel Horse/Toro part number list and a belt size list. May help.

There is a way to find where a Wheel Horse part number was used but it is complicated. If you have a number post it and will try to walk you through the process using that number. Once you do it it is simple.
