Dave 1953 70 #1 Posted December 22, 2021 As per a request I am posting some pics of a brand new or NOS Goodyear 27 X 8.50 -15 tire that I found on the first call I made at my local tire store that I have been getting tires there for over 50 years. Someone wanted to see what a "new" one looks like so here it is. The other one I need for my GT14 isn't going to be as easy to find. Somewhere on some old tire dealers warehouse up on the top shelf back in the corner is the mate to this one. Up until a few years ago all I have ever needed was 26/12-12 ag tires and they are everywhere in multiple brands but not 15's If anyone out there knows where I can get another one of these NOS I will gladly pay a bounty. You can PM me (LOL) 1

Dave 1953 70 #3 Posted December 22, 2021 I would appreciate any assistance you coa offer. I would only be interested in a Goodyear brand, the same as what's on my GT14. Like I said I will pay a bounty for a NOS tire that matches this one.
8ntruck 7,256 #4 Posted December 22, 2021 Matching date code needed? I imagine you will be more than happy with a NOS in the same size and by Goodyear.
RED-Z06 2,390 #5 Posted December 23, 2021 If you just need some rubber to roll on, goodyear makes a Lug tire in that size as well as Carlisle, finding NOS rubber in any kind of shape is hard, finding an odd size, in ag lug, when most sellers discard old stock...may take a while. Dave 1953 70 #6 Posted December 23, 2021 That's R4 tread. It probably wasn't even invented when these tires were made. There was never a Wheel Horse that left the factory with that tread. I'm looking for originality, not just any lug. I have bought 2 brand new tractors with R4 industrial tread but it's not going on my 1970 GT14

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,177 #8 Posted December 23, 2021 Needed a Firestone turf tire to replace one with a cut side wall. Got the C-120 tractor like that. Had dealer order one which was not cheap. Noticed after installation the new tire was 1" shorter than the original. Seems all tires are getting smaller and not matching the stated dimensions.

And thats really annoying but entirely true, deestone has to be the worst offender, a 23" tire may be under 22" tall
