Good idea. I may be trying to figure something out on my 1054 since I have no wheel weights for it.

Good job!  I like the shelf on the bottom for more stackability!

Looks like another very good piece of engineering Ben. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Slim I think you've got a fairly easy fix right there already.

Now.. I don't know anything about your current living situation but let's just say you sort of mentally look around and think about 8 or 10 people that are physically closest to you. Take the largest two of those and just have them stand on the trailer hitch of the tractor while you do what you need to do.

If they were  close personal friends or family members or whatever you might be able to convince them that it is a good bonding time.......??

Handy Don

They might actually enjoy the biting wind, bone chilling cold, and blinding snow in their faces. Not to mention hanging on for dear life through the abrupt movements as you go back and forth! What are friends for, really? :)

Your suggestion means starting a thread for building a platform on the back for “ tractor rides for adults”. Do you think they’d be on to me ?

Maybe. Maybe not. It's okay.

Remember. You are doing this for THEIR BENEFIT. Not yours.

Was going to do something simpler like a rod for some old weigh lifting plates….  Next going to make steel or concrete wheel weights not sure.  Been trolling eBay for steel round plates and found some 1” x 6” dia circles that were not too bad.  Could weld them on my current set to add weight or drill them to make a set.  Need more time to analyze but thanks!

Weights plates must be like gold to these people! Everyone is selling plates(1 inch hole) and dumbells for damn near what new ones go for. Look for drops at a steel warehouse, they might have what you need.

Well now I need 10” wide plates to stack on.  I have 2 more but they are heavy!

Most salvage metal recycling yards don't allow visitors around here anymore. Insurance issues...

Metal wheel weights or lifting weights sell for 1 to 2 dollars per pound. Well used.

A good place to tie Pullstart's wheel chair straps.

Drill a hole in the bottom plate and you have a trailer hitch again without removing the weights!
