Yes, they do. I just did mine and stuck my caliper down the hole to measure. I don't recall the exact depth but it was at least an inch. pacer 3,169 #8 Posted December 20, 2021 A little bit OT, but have you guys ever tried "flange head" bolts/nuts? I picked up a Massey garden tractor and apparently they used ALL flange heads thru out and I have fallen in love with them. I even went over to my bolt place and bought a bucketful of assorted sizes. Especially when the holes are slots or just wallowed out from age... I use flanged bolts alot but not the serrated style, they bite well but after a few uses they begin to erode the sheemetal a bit. I consider them for something that goes together and stays together. And they sure will mess up some paint too. Much more so than a flat washer with a lock washer would! pacer 3,169 #13 Posted December 20, 2021 Like many things, the serrated bolts have a place among all the other hardware. On the Massey I mentioned there was a mix of different bolt types. While I was aware of them, I just had never used them other than occasionally and when I took the MF apart and reassembled it I became impressed with them.
