Does anyone know where this black wire from the ignition switch harness goes? It’s around 2 feet long. The label I had on it fell off.  It’s a 1978 c141

@BHunter  think you will like that , have a lot of things that I  a have tried  on problem areas , you have to get fed up with something to make a change .  a number of them were a chronic  PIA . always acting up , once I started  the make this go away , view , just kept on with the same view on each horse. those problem areas aren't there anymore , like the solid reliability , regularly check over everything , that way a problem its easy to fix and change. my electrical nagging , was mainly increased grounding , upgrade wiring connections , change routing , cable wrap all my wiring , no chafing or shorting . replace all plug in connections , no tight bends or stressed wires.  battery ground bolt , run a cable from that to corner engine frame . next to clutch pedal , bolt on electrical lug to that bolt , smaller wire up to charging rectifier bolt mount on engine , and from there to headlight grounding , tell me how it starts and  runs, bright lights , you have to get   fed up , its worth it , pete

If that plug hooks to the ignition switch directly, what is the initial on the terminal that wire aligns with? That should tell you where the wire goes.

Made some good progress this week. Installed the dash and hood, got it running, painted front wheels and started making a side pipe exhaust from an old motorcycle exhaust system

Probably goes to the PTO switch. Is there a small female spade connector on the other end?

There is a wiring diagram in the manuals section. as 953  nut said,  It goes to PTO switch connects with the black going to the seat switch Then the b;ack wire come back connect with the other side of the same safety switch.

The diagram is just listed a 1978-1981 C  wiring diagram there  5 different ones there.

I can't get over the quality of work in your classes. You and those students should be commended. I wish you had been teaching WAY back when I was in school.

Thank you. Many of the students are taking turns at painting the tractor parts. They range from 9th grade to 12th grade. 
 Some of the parts have been painted a couple of times because of mistakes or getting scratched during assembly. They are getting a lot of painting practice on this project. I’m really pleased with how good they are doing.

Thank you. I will tell them you said so. 
The exhaust turned out pretty cool. We kept cutting up the old pipe and figuring out what bends would get us to our goal. It’s not pretty but it has character. That’s what I like about it.

Yeah looks fantastic!  Exhaust looks really neat too!  First I’ve seen that come down like that.  Those kids will be fighting over driving it first!

Thanks. They are already arguing over getting to drive it first. . They actually want me to have the initial test drive and then they will drive it after that. They are getting excited to see it come to life. 
We have to finish welding the exhaust and then we can drive it. I wanted to get it sitting on its tires and make sure it can fully turn before fully welding it. It should be driving next week

I agree. The group of students that did the work were really good. They did it pretty quick too considering it wasn’t the only job they were working on. They started on it November 17th and it will be done by February 17th.

The test drive went great. No problems. The kids really enjoyed the ride. They were smiling under their masks. They took lots of pictures of their accomplishment. Lasting memories.
