I think my 867 uses 2 of those on the fender. Sure makes it close smoother too!

The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection. Plus on the fender mounts it may end up on your pants! Edited December 17, 2021 by squonk

peter lena 8,634 #14 Posted December 17, 2021 @squonk so terribly sorry for suggesting anything , looking for a sword to throw my self on , probably put some grease on it to make the initial entry , easier , pete
squonk 41,150 #15 Posted December 17, 2021 Just wanted to let folks know that that grease can damage certain rubbers. I used to use Vaseline to install pump seals. Made them slide into the bore easily. Until I found out that it broke down the rubber compound after a short time. 3
peter lena 8,634 #16 Posted December 17, 2021 @squonk rebuilt hundreds of pumps , durco, goulds , boston gear , swiss lewa , never used vaseline on any of those seals , more like synthetic , hi temp anti sling , steam jacket rated , lubricant , also food grade rated , for production work. pete
