C160 42" side discharge spindle and housing

I bought a 85-42ms01 spindle and housing assembly off eBay stating it was the keyed shaft and it is not. Do they make a 3 5/16 diameter pully I can adapt for the one sent? Mine is a 3/4 keyed shaft and the one I got is 5/8 no key.

I've got some leftover keyed 3/4" pulleys from when I rebuilt my 48" deck, but I believe the pulley diameter is different on the 42".  I'll check the diameter tomorrow.

Hang on a sec Johnny... I think I misunderstood.  I thought you needed the 3/4" keyed pulley but after reading again, you need a 5/8" unkeyed pulley.  I can't help with that but still contact Brian or Lincoln, they'll have what you need.

 

You can use that spindle as long as you have the right pulley for it, and make sure you torque the bolt to about 90 to 100 foot pounds!
