I tried being a "grown up" for a couple decades. 

It sucked. 

 

I feel instead of arrested development we are more situationally and socially aware of our own tendencies and emotions.

I'd like to thank @Jeff-C175 for helping to get these idea's flowing and thank everyone for all the posts that have been submitted, WOW never expected this. One thing I have learned is I should have worked on my C195 instead of the free 267H I got this summer, but it has been in the family since new in 1996.

The crazy landscaper guy up end of our dirt road used to do mine, but he's an ANIMAL!  All he cares about is getting the snow out of the way, doesn't care how much gravel he pushes up into piles on the lawn, garbage cans get covered, christmas decorations and shrubberies get ruined.  I only call him if we get 2 feet or more and I can't deal, ESPECIALLY with my new asphalt.

To be honest he makes a bigger mess than anything else. I try to have it done before he gets here. All I have is a 60' driveway. He shows up with a big honkin' 4 wheel drive John Deere with a blade on the back, and just packs everything down. If it's a really BIG snow, I let him do it.

I have a nephew with the same name as me. Gregory ******* **********. Same Birthday 9/**. He was born on my birthday, so my brother graciously named him after me. Lets just say he has not been a pillar of the community. To make matters worse, when dad moved to a retirement home, my brother bought the house we all grew up in. So now we share an address. I use to get calls.

Apparently the year of your birth meant little to them. On the upside I haven't received any calls in quite some time. On the down side, he has been in the Iowa State Penitentiary for quite some time. And will be for quite some time to come. No violent crimes. Mostly theft, drugs, and firearms. Anybody wanna trade?

We move our own no matter how much. 

Up to 6 or 8 inches the Horses plow snow. Above that, the snowblower does it's job.  

It snows more than 15 or 20 inches we just move snow twice.

All this talk of snow plows, winches and lift mechanisms got me to thinking. Bad idea, I know. If I could rig up a winch system to lift this entire unit off the ground, the tractor could actually turn. Maybe. This whole thing weighs in @ 150lbs. With that much weight n the front axle, could I turn it?

As it is now, I am simply tilting the snowblowers back on their own wheels with my lift handle. Whadda ya think?

I got to thinking about end loaders on tractors with a bucket of gravel. There has to be some weight to that.

I think you should be able to steer it... just make sure you have good wheel bearings in the front end!
