Choke cable broke on C-145 tractor. Is there a replacement available? Part # 108043 or 108045. Alternatives?

@Jon925mn , think that cable should be a easy pick up , the important part of re cabling  IS THE LAY OUT  , mount it where it works best , with added cable clamp screw on tabs , and SUPER LUBE , teflon lubricant . continue to verify smooth easy function at every step , don't get to the end  and find its stiff in function. I also put a light spring on each side of my end lever points , for a pull back  at every use , mine work very smooth , no binding , pete

Those are for the push pull type cable. The C-145 will have a lever style.

You could pick up a new cable and sheath, then crimp it into you old lever controls.

If the sheath is not broken you could probably just slide in a new wire.

Dorman has a cheap replacement cable assembly that you could rob the wire from.

Ok so removed cable. Its 41" long and unsure if thats correct as have no idea what PO did. The end at carb if fine but at lever its broke. Seems like cable might be long enough to cut and bend new s hook. Does anyone drill out those stupid rivets and whats an easy way to bend the end. Thanks all for the helpful suggestions.

I've been using one or two pairs of good quality thick needle nose pliers for several years. I have very good grip strength so it hasn't been an issue. Recently I picked up a Z Bender.

Should have purchased one of those years ago..

Carefully grind sheathing back 1/2". DON"T GRIND INTO WIRE !!!! You only have to grind through one side, the piece will slide off. If you don't have a bender, bending that Z tight enough with pliers can be a PITA !  You have a pic of the lever assembly?

I just pull the wire back far enough so that I can cut strait through the sheath.

Lever pic with snow. Can the rivets be drilled out and replaced with bolt/nut. I dont have a bender so will have to swear my way to a new bend.

Any rivet can be drilled out and replaced with a bolt I would think. Trouble is getting, and keeping the correct pressure on the lever assembly. A wave washer, or 2 , would be nice.

I have used these when space allows. You don't have to bend the wire, and it gives you another adjustment point. Grind off that L shaped part. You don't need it. After looking at your lever, I don't think this little gizmo would work. No room for that Phillips head screw., I don't think, but can't really tell.

Have you used those long-term and do you find that they hold well after a fair amount of usage?

FIXED! No cost but a little time. Was able to bend with couple pliers and death grip. Works like butter with no binding. Very thankful for replies by members as it always makes the task doable. Big storm coming Friday and tractor is ready to go. Safe holidays everyone!
