ebinmaine 67,390 #1 Posted December 6, 2021 Friends of ours have a family member who's getting up in years and wants to start selling off a collection of both garden tractors and farm tractors. I posted here a few pictures of some of the garden tractors. Any information whatsoever that you can contribute would be much appreciated. I realize that the value is kind of a regional thing but if there's anything that sticks out like a sore thumb as being particularly rare please let me know. Doesn't sound like a lot... but they are a pain in the... beehind... to rebuild... I'd be interested in the JD Hydro 165... only if it was liquid cooled. 'round 800$ if it was running. Gregor 4,846 #8 Posted December 6, 2021 The Masseys, maybe $100 as is, and I think that would be a stretch for me. I paid $350 for a running, mowing, well maintained 14. I paid $450 for a 16. It didn't run when I bought it, but it was stored under cover, and had a 3-point, and was VERY complete, and in good shape. Didn't take much to get it running. The John Deere 110 flat fender, not much. If it were a round fender, it would be a different story. The John Deere 165 Hydro? I got mine at an auction, long before I ever had a Wheel Horse. I threw a real quick paint job on it, and a used seat. I think I paid $150. It was running. I think the Panzer and the Minne Mo are probably the most valuable, but have no idea of that value. Handy Don 12,201 #15 Posted December 7, 2021 This Cub's model name looks like 187 to me, but that number was never used. It resembles the 107, 127, 147 series--probably it's a 127. All were hydro drive but no hydro lift. Varied in horsepower (10, 12, 14) and lift (107 manual; 127 & 147 electric--have to see the right side of the tractor to be sure). All used Kohler (392, 476, and 512 respectively). None are especially rare or sought. This one looks pretty complete with clean tin, decent condition paint, and even the mesh grille and has a deck but it's probably not running so nothing special. l 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

As is I'd give $250-$300 if it were complete. Why its yellow is anyone's guess and the side saddle tank might be a hydraulic reservoir. You could easily ask $500 if it was a running unit. The panzer with the loader is probably your most valuable. Very few loaders were made and even fewer survived. As with a lot of tractors, unfortunately, these would be worth much more parted out, rather than sold whole. The plastic dash cowling on these tend to be broken beyond repair. They can sell for over $100 each. Same with the plastic hood bezel on the front. These are available new. I have bought 3 @ $120 each. Many of them appear to be 14hp or larger. These will have Kohler K series engines, and Sundstrand 2 speed hydros. I understand they are pretty much bullet proof. They also have Ross steering boxes in them. There ya go @ebinmaine. A few of them seem to have an open back style seat pan. I don't remember seeing that before, but they are on smaller tractors. Mine are 14 or 16. Parts for Masseys are much harder to find than parts for Wheel Horses. At least thats been my experience. Right now I wish I lived in Maine. I would wish it a lot harder if this was July.
