slim67 2,735 #1 Posted December 4, 2021 I see a lot of “ today’s haul” threads here and want to share mine from today. A running when parked 1054, a parts machine 953 and a 54 inch snow blade for them. Also a set of good used steering knuckles for the 1054. This is my first big wheel and I have hopes to use the 1054 as a plow mule this year. I’ll see how it goes but I’m pretty excited to score these. I’ve been talking to a few of the members here on their thoughts of this platform and thank them for their time. 9
Moparfanforever 844 #2 Posted December 5, 2021 (edited) Cool tractors !!! Hoping to find the same two tractors and blade someday myself. Is the white steering wheel painted or did it come that way originally ?? Edited December 5, 2021 by Moparfanforever

ebinmaine 67,497 #4 Posted December 5, 2021 Very cool Slim! These models are of course a big influence on the sizing of my own "big wheel". Can't touch one around here for less than the king's ransom so I decided to just build one. Looks like you have a good score there!

The seating seems to be a tight fit for bigger/ taller guys of which I’m one( 6’2” 215 lbs) so I’m going to have to play with seat a bit .

Seems by the pics I've seen @19richie66 is a member of the "not short" club too. Perhaps he can lend advice.

I was on the FB page last nite for 953/1054/GT14s and came across Richies page . I sent him a message thanking him again for the cup I won. He was building a GT 14 custom if I remember right.

I shove the seat pad so it covers the tool tray in the rear. Still a bit tight but doable

You can always grind down the front lip to the tool tray and make it even with the seat pan. Then you can move the seat bottom back a ways. Cut some new slots in the pan and then you can set the back rest farther back also. @grnlark Matt makes a mean seat cushion set for these. He’s also on the FB page if you decided to go that route. The seller has a brand new set of 27x8.50-15s on what look like D series multi lug wheels? I plan on going back in a few weeks to get them. 2
