Nice,:handgestures-thumbupright: being alloy, it will be a lot lighter. ( a bit further back then mine, don't now how leverage will impact that)

How much weight have you had in yours?

Since those pictures, I have a different bracket it fits into, so it's closer to the rear of the tractor. It's rated for 500 lbs. It started out 5' wide, but I cut it down to the width of the tractor.

This has been a great topic.  I have a heavy duty hitch mounted bike rack that may be the perfect solution to moving firewood from the yard to the house.  Will do photos when I get is up and working.

I mainly use it to take either the trash or the recycling down to the highway. My driveway is 1/4 mile long. Another reason for some seat time. I have had @ 200# of bagged mulch on the back and it handled nice, didn't act like it was over loaded.

We had talked about this at the show. I think that's the same one I have, just haven't got around to cutting it down yet..

I kept it the width of the tractor because it was easier to park in the barn that way, it's the same width as the normal parking place. When you have limited room it's just easier that way.

Should I enclose the rack with wooden panels or use some thick metal mesh?

Both.

Build it to use both as needed.

So I can swap them if need be. mhh:eusa-think: Got to do some tinkering about how to do that easily.

I have both on stock.

Probably weld in the mesh and cut some panels, that I can put in if need be. So I can use lighter wooden panels as the mesh would support the weight.

So I'm thinking that 141 should be able to hold 3 maybe 4 bags of food at 50 lb each....

This is really the max, and wouldn't dare to ride it.... Still quite surprised the front end is still down.

Around 400 pounds on the back!!!
