rjg854 11,381 #28 Posted December 3, 2021 Since those pictures, I have a different bracket it fits into, so it's closer to the rear of the tractor. It's rated for 500 lbs. It started out 5' wide, but I cut it down to the width of the tractor. 2
CCW 1,295 #29 Posted December 3, 2021 (edited) This has been a great topic. I have a heavy duty hitch mounted bike rack that may be the perfect solution to moving firewood from the yard to the house. Will do photos when I get is up and working. ccwpost Edited December 3, 2021 by CCW
rjg854 11,381 #30 Posted December 3, 2021 I mainly use it to take either the trash or the recycling down to the highway. My driveway is 1/4 mile long. Another reason for some seat time. I have had @ 200# of bagged mulch on the back and it handled nice, didn't act like it was over loaded.

I think that's the same one I have, just haven't got around to cutting it down yet..
rjg854 11,381 #32 Posted December 3, 2021 I kept it the width of the tractor because it was easier to park in the barn that way, it's the same width as the normal parking place. When you have limited room it's just easier that way. 3
Maxwell-8 4,277 #33 Posted December 4, 2021 Should I enclose the rack with wooden panels or use some thick metal mesh?

So I can swap them if need be. mhh Got to do some tinkering about how to do that easily. I have both on stock. Probably weld in the mesh and cut some panels, that I can put in if need be. So I can use lighter wooden panels as the mesh would support the weight.

This is really the max, and wouldn't dare to ride it.... Still quite surprised the front end is still down. Around 400 pounds on the back!!! 1
