No kidding, right?

That's a good deal at three times that price.

Do you have a specific plan for this tractor yet?

Nice tractor, Just way to clean to make a mudmower from! I wouldn't do it.

You may want to check compression on the engine since I don't see an airfilter!

If you take that tractor out mudding as is sits right know. Maybe 5min of driving before the engine sucks in a good chunk of mud.

I know what you mean but about 3 weeks I started my collection of WH's and man em I hooked! I like them all and as long people keep interest in them I am ok with poeple doing what they please with them. Oh and it did have a filter just needed it for one of the other running ones in my collection. So far i have two in really bad conditon they were sitting outside a commando 6 and a 657(i like the short frame better so will restore those or at least one of them). The other two were garage kept. 1076 hydro drive and 1056 gear tranny.

Yes plan on having everything powder coated that i am keeping. Motor will get hot rodded and rebuilt, big mud tires and maybe 4 in lift, change to hydraulic brake use original brake pedal and location, lock the transaxle, add an accelerator, some more gauges( it has a volt gauge already). Build some bolt on rock sliders and bumper/brush guard with winch. Use existing headlight but change to LED bulbs and custom make yellow acrylic cover. Dont plan on beating on it but def have fun on my 20 acre farm.

:text-welcomeconfetti: @Fredo!  I know there is some extreme “mud mower” stuff on YouTube.  Be careful (who am I to preach safety!?) and have fun!  These are pretty dang capable as is… but I’ve never been in extreme off road conditions… just climbing over stuff and the occasional rock pile.

My Commando 6 “Jane” is super tough.  There’s a perfect balance of grip and weight transfer that makes this thing bite and occasionally lift the front end, but just plain go.  “Poppy” the 552 round hood was purpose built to fit the obnoxiously large tires I earned on a job and generally rolls over things quite well with zero air pressure in the tires.  Once slick situations or snow come though, the skinny Interco Interforce tires come out.

You got to do what you like to do with them. Here in Belgium they are pretty rare, for sure in a nice condition. Here I would almost be a crime making a horse like yours into a mudmower. In the USA, not so much.

Just to give you an idea: I bought every single horse that came up for sale in my half of the country.

This is what you get here for 350€ (no runner) and 250€ (chassis)DSC_0987.JPG.e9f3dd73600633f422636ef104c128d7.JPGDSC_0343.JPG.1abbbed6abd95e2ae7388af1d41dbad2.JPG

4 in lift,

Lifting these usually poses some challenges.  Keep in mind that the belt guard is an integral part of the clutch system and the floorboards pose a clearance issue as well as the fender pans.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

Correct! And I am asking myself how you can pull that off. 4" is a lot. and since, their is no way to make the trans sit higher (lowest point). I can only see you reaching that with 31" rear tires and up front 24". I am already in quite the hassle to fit 26" in the rear...

@Greentored He can help a lot in your journey. He goes off roading with the big youtube mudmower channels like GiverTheBeans 97, Creepycrawler, redzz02 and Mr Studabaker.

Any idea how you will be achieving that? Would be cool!

hydraulic brake

Would like to see how you will be doing that since brakes are a weaker point on WH.

lock the transaxle

Has a 8 pinions so it's the stranger manual can be locked either trough welding or by flipping gears(less strong)

Think ive seen a video of redzz02 how he lifts his... believe he said its a 4" lift. And on my Harley there is a hydraulic cylinder, brake caliper and disc that work together which i think can maybe replace(retrofitted) the WH brake system.

Ah so on the tranny shaft.

He had those huge tires on before he sold it. I remember he had to cut a lot to make that fit.

I am just saying you will not be able to lift up the tranny which is the lowest point on a WH whit out going for a bigger tire.

How handy are ya?  Check out @meadowfield’s build.  It’s pretty sweet, with an external locker.

Independent rear suspension?

Or those $$$$ gearboxes they use on pickups or atv for mudbogging?
